St. Loucas Community is a non-profit, non–governmental organisation founded in 2008, with the vision of creating a warm and safe environment where young persons with disabilities can receive round the clock care; in addition, it is a place where family members and caregivers will be able to receive respite care in order to relieve them of the difficult circumstances they face in their everyday lives or when facing an emergency.
Why Community? Because we consider ourselves a family unit, who share the same vision and mission in working together towards the fulfilment of our common goals with faith, mutual support and love. As with every closely connected family, each member of St. Loucas Community is at the heart of everything we do, as we strive to ensure that people with disabilities reach their full potential, gain their equal place in society and enjoy the full range of basic human rights such as human dignity, equal opportunities, independence, and freedom of choice.
